Reopening Assessment Tasks

When manual or remediation tasks are marked as complete without sufficient remediation action, users with admin privileges and assessment approvers can reopen the task.

πŸ“‹ Note:Β Tasks can only be reopened when the assessment is in In Review, Review Complete, Pending Approval, or Approved Pending Remediation state.

From the All Assessments page, open the assessment and go to the Tasks tab.

To the right of the task you want to reopen, click the ellipsis menu and select Reopen Task.

In the popup modal, enter the reason for reopening the task so the task assignee can act accordingly, then click Reopen.

πŸ“‹ After reopening
β€ΊA notification email is sent to the task assignee informing them that the completed task has been reopened.
β€ΊYou can create a custom email template for reopened tasks. Set the notification email category to Task Reopen. See Creating an Email Template for more information.

β€ΊThe existing due date is retained. If the task is past its due date, the assessment due date is used instead. To change the due date, open the task and click the Edit icon to the right of the current due date.
