Summary — Enter a short task title. Displayed in the task lists on both the Dashboard and Tasks pages.
Priority — Set to Low, Medium, or High.
Due Date — Optional. The date by which you want the assignee to complete the task.
Level of Effort — Set to Low, Low-Med, Medium, Medium-High, or High.
Level of Risk (if not completed) — Set to Low, Low-Med, Medium, Medium-High, or High.
TrustArc Framework — Select which of the 16 TrustArc Framework L2 Standards the task is mapped to.
Assigned To — Select the person to assign the task to. You can assign it to yourself and reassign it to another person later.
Email Notifications — Enable either or both options: Send Reminders (automatic due-date reminders to the assignee) and Notify when completed (notification to you when the task is marked complete).
Description — Enter task instructions or context for the assignee.
Assessment — Optionally associate the task with a specific assessment. Note that a manual task associated with an assessment does not block the assessment from reaching Approved status. To block approval until the task is complete, create a Remediation Task instead.
📋 Assigning to a non-system user
To assign the task to a non-system user, click the Non-System Users radio button and search for the user. If the user is not found, click the + button and enter their details to add them.
After the task is created, a notification email is sent to the non-system user's email address. Any reply to that email is added as a comment to the task.
Whoever clicks the Mark as Complete button completes the task.

Click Save.

The new task appears in the Tasks list with the type Manual, and the assignee receives an email notification with a link to the task.
