Ability to Record “Website Source” Using URL Parameter for Intake Forms Version 2

Benefits

Users need the ability to add a website source parameter in the intake form URL.

Details

This enhancement enables users to add sourceWebsite, a website source parameter, in the Intake Form URL. The system records any value passed as a website source in the request details but if there is no value passed, then the system retains the same behavior in getting the website source using HTTPS header.

Example URL:

Multiple Template Selection Support While Creating Tasks

Benefits

This enhancement enables users to select multiple tasks in task creation under Requests.

Details

A multi-select feature is added to the Add New Task window, where users can select one or more tasks under Requests. Once the execution is done, the system displays a toast message that states how many tasks were successfully created and how many tasks were in error. Note that the Add from Blank Template functionality remains the same when the user clicks it in the modal.

Ability to Geolocate a User and Autofill ‘Resident of’ Field

Benefits

Users need to be able to geolocate a user using IP address and to be able to autofill the Resident of field on a per Intake Form basis.

Details

A new Auto-fill based on Geolocation checkbox is added to the Resident of form field in the Form Builder tab. The checkbox is disabled by default. When this feature is enabled, IRM detects the Data Subject’s location through IP address and automatically fills the Country field in the intake form. The Data Subject’s jurisdiction should be listed in the Options tab. Otherwise, the system will not be able to auto-fill the Resident of field.

NOTES:

  • If the jurisdiction detected is not in the jurisdiction options, IRM uses the default option (if available). The Data Subject may change the value of the Resident of form field if it is not a hidden field.
  • The system leaves the Resident of form field empty if the default value is not present and auto geolocation is not enabled.
  • The system leaves the Resident of form field empty if the default value is not present and geolocation is enabled but the detected location is not found in the options.
