Consent Form Field Attributes

Overview

Each field in the Form Builder contains a corresponding attribute that is configurable by the user. Here are the following attributes for each form field:

Single Line
Display Tab
Single Line Display Tab
Label – This is a free text field that is mandatory
Default Value – This defines the initial (default) value of the input field
Default Placeholder Text – This is a short description or hint that describes the expected value of an input field
Helpful Information Text – Displays a help icon or tooltip next to a form field to provide more information
Styling Tab

Font – Select the font face from the drop-down menu
Font Size – Select the size of the font
Label Text – Select the label text color from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Field Input Text – Select the field input text color from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Form Field Background – Select the form field background from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Form Field Stroke – Select the form field stroke color from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Required Field Indicator – Select the required field indicator color from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Reset to default – Erases the custom settings and restores styling to default settings
Field Preview – Provides a real-time preview of the customized field
Validation Tab

Field Format – Select whether the format is HTML Links or None
Number of Characters – Set the minimum and maximum number of character limits

Required – This checkbox allows the user to mark the field as a required field
Hidden – This checkbox allows the user to hide the field
Read-only – A checkbox that allows “Read-Only”
PI Data – A checkbox that tags the field as PI Data
Match Field – A checkbox that allows the user to match fields against another similar field
Field UUID – This is a read-only field and is auto-generated once saved
Data Field – This is a drop-down field with the list of Purposes created from the Data Subject Type page

Default Value – This defines the initial (default) value of the input field. For checkboxes, this is set to Unchecked.
Helpful Information Text – Displays a help icon or tooltip next to a form field to provide more information
Message – The content you wish to display to provide more information
Display Value Configuration – This allows to set the value of the checkbox field to either Checked is Opt-in or Checked is Opt-out.

Add existing option – This allows for adding a list of country options
Search Options – This is a keyword search option to easily locate a country on the list

Main Checkbox Functionality – This allows setting the value of the main checkbox to either Select /Unselect All & Indeterminate or Unsubscribe All.
Message – The content you wish to display to provide more information
Display Value Configuration – This allows to set the value of the checkbox field to either Checked is Opt-in or Checked is Opt-out.
📋 NOTE
The Display Value Configuration for the children of group checkboxes will behave according to the Main Checkbox Functionality value.
If Main Checkbox Functionality value is Select /Unselect all & Indeterminate for the parent, then Admin has the ability to set either “Checked is Opt-in” or “Checked is opt-out” and for the children it will always be the same as the parent and will not be editable.
If Main Checkbox Functionality value is Unsubscribe All for the parent, then Admin has the ability to set both “Checked is Opt-in” or “Checked is Opt-out” and for the children value will be opposite of the parent and will not be editable.

Selected Background – Select the selected background from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Required Field Indicator – Select the required field indicator color from the color palette or enter the HEX code
Main Checkbox Position – This sets the position of the main checkbox to either Top or Bottom
Use Separator on Main Checkbox – When enabled, this sets a separator for the main checkbox. Change the color of the separator by choosing from the color palette or by entering the HEX code in the field provided.
Field Preview – Provides a real-time preview of the customized field
