In the Data Mapping & Risk Manager (DMRM), you can permanently delete custom data elements that are no longer needed. Only custom data elements can be deleted — default system data elements cannot be removed.
This article explains how to delete a custom data element, including what to expect when the element is linked to existing business process or system records.
To delete a custom data element, follow these steps:
In the left navigation panel, click the Settings icon (1) and then select the Data Elements box (2). The Data Elements page opens.
To the right of the custom data element record you want to delete, click the context menu icon, and then select Delete.
If the data element is linked to a business process or system record, a confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete to confirm.
