Overview
Data elements are the individual types of personal data that your organization collects and processes — for example, email address, date of birth, or national ID number. In the Data Mapping & Risk Manager (DMRM), data elements are organized into categories and assigned a risk level to reflect their sensitivity and the regulatory protections that apply to them.
This article explains how to create a new data element in DMRM, including how to set its category, risk level, and visibility.
What you can do
✓Create a new data element with a custom name and category
✓Assign a risk level that reflects the element's regulatory sensitivity
✓Control whether the element is visible for selection across the platform
