Creating a Data Recipient

Overview

Data recipients are the third parties or internal teams that receive personal data your organization collects and processes — for example, cloud service providers, payment processors, or regulatory authorities. In the Data Mapping & Risk Manager (DMRM), data recipients are organized into categories and assigned an External ID for reference across integrated systems.

This article explains how to create a new data recipient in DMRM, including how to assign a category, set an External ID, and control its visibility.

What you can do
Create a new data recipient with a custom name and category
Assign an External ID for cross-system reference
Control whether the data recipient is visible for selection across the platform
