Creating a Custom Location Group (Data Mapping & Risk Manager))

Overview

Location Groups allow you to pre-define a set of countries and states or provinces as a reusable group. When setting locations in Data Mapping & Risk Manager — for example, when adding a data subject to a Business Process record — you can select a Location Group and use Select All to quickly apply all the countries in that group at once.

This article explains how to create a custom Location Group in Settings.

Creating a Location Group

To create a Location Group, follow these steps:

From the left side of the page, hover over the Data Mapping & Risk Manager icon, then navigate to Settings 1 > Location Group 2.

Click Add New, then configure your group by entering a name and selecting the countries and states or provinces to include.

Click Add to save the Location Group.
📋 Tip: When adding a data subject during Business Process record creation, select your Location Group and click Select All to instantly apply all the countries in the group.
