Generating Data Inventory Records

There are three ways to generate data inventory records in Data Mapping & Risk Manager. Choose the method that best fits your workflow:

→ API Integration — Connect your existing systems to automatically create and sync records via the TrustArc API.
→ CSV Import · Upload a formatted spreadsheet to create multiple records at once.
→ Manual Entry · Create records individually using the data inventory forms.
📋 Note: If you plan to use the CSV Import or Manual Entry method, review the Primary Entity Record Creation instructions before setting up the rest of your inventory records.
