Pkware is a Data Discovery solution that provides discovery, classification, masking and encryption solutions used by thousands of organizations. Individual Rights Manager can integrate to PKWare to automatically find data for a particular Data Subject and attach it to the corresponding DSR in CSV and PDF format for further processing.
Configuring and Enabling Pkware Integration
Pkware can be configured and enabled in a few simple steps.
- Select Pkware from the Integrations menu and enter your login details.
- Click the Test Connection button to allow IRM to connect to Pkware to verify the credentials provided. If the connection is successful, the Next button is enabled.
- Understand the attributes that are required for data search on a per data group basis.
NOTE: If attributes change in Pkware, click Get updated attributes to fetch the new attributes from the Pkware database.
- Map Pkware attributes to intake form fields and save the configuration on per Data Subject Type basis. For all active intake forms, Pkware integration needs to be set as Required, or Not Required.
-
-
- If Pkware integration is set to Required, then for all requests submitted using such intake forms, a data search will be conducted.
- If integration is set to Not Required, then data search is not conducted.
-
When a request created from an intake form that has Pkware Required goes to In Progress status, IRM sends an API request to Pkware to search for data for the data subject. Any data (or error) returned by Pkware is logged in the Comments section of the request.
- Complete step four for all active intake forms.
- Once all intake forms are mapped, Pkware integration can be enabled.
NOTE: When a request created from the intake form that has Pkware integration enabled goes to In Progress state, IRM sends an API request to Pkware to search for data for the Data Subject. If data is found, it is attached to the request as a CSV.
