Managing Assessment Manager Users

Overview

Users with Admin Role can add or create new Users in the system as well as edit the information about existing Users.

From the left side of the page, hover the mouse over the Admin icon (1), and then navigate to User Settings (2) > Users (3).

Adding a New User

In the top-right corner of the page, click New User.

From the Add User window, complete the following:

a) Enter the user's first name, last name, email address, and phone number. You may optionally select a job title and choose one or more areas of expertise from the pre-defined dropdown list.

📋 Note: The Send Password Reset option is enabled by default. It tells the system to request the new user to reset the automatically assigned password. This option only appears for newly created users.

b) To enable this user to access Assessment Manager, you must specify their Assessment Manager Role (2). For more information about User Roles and associated permissions, see User Roles.

c) If you want the new user to be able to access the Admin module, select an appropriate Admin Role (1):

Admin Role Access Level
Admin Read/write access. Can add new users and edit information about existing users.
User View only. Can view information in the Admin section, including other users' information.
No Access (default) No access to the Admin module.

On this page, you can also set user access to the Data Flow Manager, Cookie Consent Manager, and Website Monitoring modules if you have purchased them.

If you have defined any Tag Groups as described in Creating Tag Groups and Associating Tag Groups with entities, the associated Tag Groups will appear as additional fields on the Add User page.

After filling all required fields, click Add User to confirm and add the new user.

Deactivating a User

To deactivate a user, find the user you no longer wish to have access to the system. Click the Settings icon to the right of that user record, and then select De-Activate User.

⚠ Note: You must have Admin Role privileges as described on the Managing Assessment Manager Users page in order to see the De-Activate User option.
Resetting a User Password

To reset a user's password, find the user whose password you would like to reset. Click the Settings icon to the right of that user record, and then select Reset Password.

The user will receive an email with a temporary password that they will need to use to reset their permanent password upon the next login to Assessment Manager.

⚠ Note: You must have Admin Role privileges to the Admin module as described on the Managing Users page in order to see the Reset Password option.
Viewing User Details

To view a user's profile information, find the user whose profile you would like to examine. Click the Settings icon to the right of that user record, and then select View User Details.

The subsequent page will show the user's profile information.

To edit this information, click Edit in the top-right corner of the page.

Editing a User Profile

To edit the information about a user or to change their user role, find the user whose profile you would like to update. Click the Settings icon to the right of that user record, and then select Edit User.

⚠ Note: You must have Admin Role privileges to the Admin module as described on the Managing Users page in order to see the Edit User option in the user list or the Edit button on a user's profile page.
