New Reporting Functionality
- Feature Location: Navigate to the Data Inventory All Records page and click (+), then click import. When the pop-up modal appears, click the hyperlink labeled “CSV Import Templates”. Once the folder downloads, click the file labeled “Content Standards”, then click the data elements or processing purposes tab.
- Description: Data Inventory records can be generated through the CSV import tool, which is located on the Data Inventory All Records page. In order to properly format your CSV import, you will need to reference the Content Standard file which is included in the CSV Import Templates folder. The Content Standard file is organized by tab, each tab includes a specific list of content standards or information that can be added to your System, Third Party or Organization import. On the data elements & processing purpose tabs, there will be an ID number column to the right of the data element or processing purpose name. When entering data elements or processing purposes on the CSV import sheet, enter the ID number instead of the data element or processing purpose. For example, instead of entering data element: Hair Color on the CSV import, I would add the ID number which in my account is DE0000040.
- Benefit: You can create data elements or processing purpose with the same name, so using the identifier code when completing the CSV Import template, ensures greater accuracy.
