Creating a Data Subject Type

Overview

Data subject types define the categories of individuals whose personal data your organization collects and processes — for example, customers, employees, or website visitors. In the Data Mapping & Risk Manager (DMRM), data subject types are organized into categories and can be flagged as high risk to reflect their sensitivity.

This article explains how to create a new data subject type in DMRM, including how to assign a category, set a risk level, and control its visibility.

What you can do
Create a new data subject type with a custom name and category
Flag a data subject type as high risk
Control whether the data subject type is visible for selection across the platform
