TrustArc's Cookie Consent Manager ("Consent Manager") solution is a tool that helps organizations ("you" or "your") address compliance requirements mandated by the European Union's ePrivacy Directive and General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
In support of an organization's Consent Manager instance, TrustArc regularly scans your in-scope domains using our Website Monitoring Manager ("WMM") solution. Using the results of these WMM scans, your dedicated Technical Account Manager (TAM) will provide you with regular scan reports that identify any trackers detected on your sites that are not already included in your Consent Manager instance, along with TrustArc's suggested categorization of these new trackers.
WMM uses a combination of publicly available web tools and TrustArc-developed servers to scan websites for tracking activity.
Scans are designed to emulate one user navigating the website to have minimal impact on site performance and audience analytics. The scanner collects all available page links from the current page and selects, in a deterministic manner, the next page to visit. On each page, the scanner records all activity between the browser and the web server and stores the activity information in a TrustArc database for processing. Activity records are used to reconstruct all events that occurred during the web page download — including but not limited to HTTP requests and responses, JavaScript calls, creation of iFrames, cookie read/writes, and deletions. Additional information, such as the loading time of each page element, is also captured. Further information about the Website Monitoring Manager can be found in the Website Monitoring Manager User Guide, which is available upon request.
After your Website Monitoring Manager account has been set up, TrustArc will provide you with login credentials. You can log in to the Website Monitoring Manager Portal at:
