Upon detection of an end user from a country where Implied Consent behavior has been configured, a Cookie Banner can be shown to provide a form of disclosure and consent. "Implied consent," for Consent Manager purposes, denotes an uninterrupted end user experience, such that a consent selection is not required in order for a visitor to access a site. Although the end user has the option to make a consent selection, if they do not wish to do so they may still freely access and navigate the site and the banner will continue to show.
If the user makes a choice and consents, a consent cookie is set with a 6-month expiration date by default. Once the cookie expires, the banner will reappear on the page to collect consent from the user again. Please see the Optional Parameters section for other banner features including fade and acceptance.

The Verbiage of banner display and Verbiage of buttons are required to be added to your site to utilize the hosted banner implementation. For most instances, these would have been already set up for you by the Technical Account Management team at TrustArc. If you need further customization, please contact your Technical Account Manager.
If you are applying your own styling for the banner (such as items 3–6 in the Banner Customizations section), please see the end of this document for the specific class/ID names for each of the elements within the banner.

Customers have the option of enabling a banner consent option with Consent Manager as well as the normal UI.
- Verbiage can be changed to the text the client provides.
- More Information button — Can be removed; verbiage can be changed.
- Accept All button — Can be removed; verbiage can be changed; button can be altered to a close button (X).
- Decline All button — Can be removed; verbiage can be changed.
Color and font can be customized for all items of the banner, including the background.
Clients can choose to style the banner themselves by overriding the style elements in the TrustArc banner within their master CSS or other CSS files on their site.
Item 3 in the Banner Consent Styled by TrustArc section can be completely controlled by the client. TrustArc will blank out the banner template on the backend and provide a copy of the banner HTML so the client can properly override the banner styling.
