Understanding the Approvals section of the Assessment Report page

The Assessment Approvals section (1) lists all assessment approvers and whether each has approved the assessment.

Once an assessment moves to Pending Approval state (2), all assigned approvers must approve it for it to reach the final Approved state. Approvers can approve or fail the assessment by clicking the Approve or Disapprove button (3) next to their name.

β€ΊOnly Assessment Approvers can see the Approve or Disapprove button. Assessment Creators, Owners, and other Participants cannot approve the assessment.
β€ΊIf there are multiple approvers, they can approve or disapprove in any order β€” not necessarily the order listed on the Create New Assessment page. If all or a majority approve, the status automatically changes to Approved. If all or a majority disapprove, the status changes to Failed.
β€ΊWhen approvers are added in hierarchy, Tier 2 approvers can begin stamping their approval only after all Tier 1 approvers have approved or disapproved. An approver can exist in multiple tiers, but their approval is counted only once.
Managing Approvers

While the assessment is in Survey or Pending Approval state, you can add additional approvers by clicking the Add Approver button (4).

You can also reassign or remove an approver by clicking the Settings button to the right of the approver's name and selecting Reassign Approver or Remove Approver from the context menu.

Adding Approval Comments

You can add approval comments associated with any approver. Click the Expand/Collapse button to the left of the approver's name to open the comment area, then click Add Comment (5).

Enter your comment text (6), add optional attachments (9), then click Save (7) to submit. Click Cancel (8) to discard. You can delete a submitted comment at any time by clicking the Delete icon (10).
