TrustArc Privacy Studio supports WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards across its public-facing web elements. Updating your templates ensures your web experiences are accessible to users with cognitive, motor, and visual impairments, and helps you meet evolving legal and compliance requirements.
This article provides step-by-step instructions for updating your web elements to WCAG 2.2 AA across three Privacy Studio apps: Cookie Consent Manager Pro (CCM Pro), Consent & Preference Manager (CPM), and Individual Rights Manager (IRM).
To update your banners and modals for accessibility, follow the steps below.
From the Cookie Consent Manager platform navigation panel, select Scans and Consent.
Click either the CCM Instance Name or the Edit button of the Consent Manager you want to update.
In the Design Consent Manager page, select one of the following WCAG 2.2 AA compliant templates: CCPA Template (WCAG 2.2 AA), GDPR Template (WCAG 2.2 AA), Google Template (WCAG 2.2 AA), or PIPEDA Template (WCAG 2.2 AA).
Click Save, then click Publish.
⚠ Important: Clicking Save alone does not push changes to your live website. Changes only take effect after you click Publish. If you do not publish, the server will continue to serve the previously published Consent Manager.
In the Publish Consent Manager window, click Publish.
To update your Consent Form, follow the steps below.
From the Consent & Preferences Manager platform navigation panel, select Setup > Consent Forms.
Click either the Consent Form Name or the Edit button of the Consent Form you want to update.
Click Upgrade Form.
In the Upgrade Form window, click Upgrade Form.
A toast message appears to confirm the form has been successfully upgraded.
To update your Intake Form, follow the steps below.
From the Individual Rights Manager platform navigation panel, select Admin > Forms.
Click either the Intake Form Name or the Edit button of the Intake Form you want to update.
Click Upgrade Form.
In the Upgrade Form window, click Upgrade Form.
A toast message appears to confirm the form has been successfully upgraded.
